Almost Ready
Well everything is going according to plan at the moment, the Orca is out of the oven and fully fitted, battleships and battlecruisers are also built and kitted out, along with the salvager and scanning covops.
All POS equipment has been bought, including the weapons and ammunition.
POS fuel still needs to be gathered together, and I am mining ice to try and keep that cost down to an acceptable level.
Skill training is plodding on as per usual, and a couple of my characters will soon have gas harvesting and salvaging at the required levels.

I had hoped to be ready for this week but real life, in the way of work is intruding on my game time.
Next weekend is a long weekend for us here in South Africa, but I am required to work because one of my clients has chosen that particular weekend to move offices.
This means that instead of playing EVE, I will be setting up the servers and computers for his employees. I mustn’t complain though, as it is the money I earn at my job that makes it possible for me to afford EVE in the first place.
Also it gives my characters more time to get their skills up to a level that will make me feel safer.
I am under no delusions about the safety of Wormhole Space.
Burning Bridges
The Orca is well under way and should be built in about six days, I have purchased the main POS elements, with just the weapons remaining, skill training is moving at its usuall snails pace.
I have stopped training Abel up to a Hulk as it is taking way too long, and have started training Jay for a Typhoon that will be able to remote repair shields and armour, as well as chuck a few missiles.

I have informed the corporation of my plans and asked them to bare with me while I go on my little solo jaunt.
It makes me feel as though I am burning bridges, which is silly really, it’s not like I am leaving the corp, I’m just breaking from corp activities for a while until I get the wormholes out of my system.:)
My inspiration, Star Defender has gone on leave for a Week and I already miss reading the daily updates in his Blog
This is turning out to be quite an expensive little excercise, and looks like I will have to sell another GTC to get the final bit of cash required.
I do believe though, that if everything goes to plan I will pay for all of this with the first expedition, and might even have a little profit on the side.
And Preparation
I have started building the Orca, which I will use as my main transport ship to cart the POS and arrays into W-space.

Ben is training the Crane Transport skills and will probably use the crane to haul minerals back to hisec.
I am thinking of taking a refinery to cut down on the number of trips back to hisec, minerals take a lot less space than ore.
That of course means that I have changed my mind about the size of control tower I will use, opting now for a large one, along with a good assortment of weapons.
It is a fair guess that if I intend mining the W-space, I am going to be living there a lot longer than I originally planned to.
While I am there I might as well try my hand at gas mining as well, which means another skill to train up.
If I keep finding new skills to train I will never get ther lol.
Planning
I realise that I can’t just go barging into wormholes without a plan, so while my skills are training up I will spend my time planning the whole operation.
I have a fear of finding myself stuck in W-Space with one vital piece of equipment forgotten, and unable to go back for it until the next wormhole opens.
So with that in mind, I will list here the equipment that I think will be required, remember that this is an operation involving just my main character and two alts, it is not a corporation excercise, that will come later when I have gained the experience and can convince my corp mates to spend a couple of weeks living in a wormhole.
